Run

Emry had her first track meet on Saturday morning.

Not only were we the last ones there, but do you notice Emry's attire?  Now I know what they are supposed to wear, whoops.

The girls were cracking me up as they all started out in a full speed sprint.  I guess they'll learn quick that that doesn't work.  Slow and steady girls, slow and steady.  This was a 2 mile race after all.

Coming in Emry placed 15th out of about 30 or so runners.  The cool thing is that only the top 15 got medals and can travel to away meets.  That was close.

Ethan thought it was cool to watch from the very top of the bleachers by himself.

We're so proud of our girl.

On the way home we saw a few hot air balloons over wine country (aka, down the street).  Lila noticed it kept following us and said it was probably paparazzi.

Keeping in shape and having your children be wary of paparazzi.  It's the Southern California way.

  5. Way to stick it out Emry! It's going to be so much fun when you "go away" to run with your team. By the way I love your running style-you look like you were born to run. :) Shauna

  6. I think the red helped her stand out and possible run faster. Better to be different right?
