Valentine Crush

I had to buy oreos.  When my kids saw them on the counter they knew something was up.  I don't buy oreos.  But I needed them to make THIS......

I only buy highly sweetened, hydrogenated oiled cookies when I can mix them with a ton more sugar, candy, lots of unnatural oils and fake flavors.  Yup that's my criteria.  But really, it's much, much too precious.  How could I resist making this popcorn?!

Look at these tags!!!

I have a weakness for popcorn when mixed with sugar.  Or butter & salt.  Or plain.  Any which way really as long as it's homemade.   No Cracker Jack or Crunch & Munch for me, I am obviously way too fancy for that.

Every single ingredient in this popcorn may have made me cringe.  But at least I made it with my own 2 hands.

Plus, did you see how cute it is?

  5. This is such pretty popcorn and the tags are great. My kids are the same, the other day I had to buy Marshmallow fluff for this outrageous banana peanut butter bread I was making-I've never purchased that stuff in my whole life. The minute my kids saw it, it wasn't "yippee, we're buying fluff", it was "what are you doing with that?" Hahahha. So funny. Love,

  7. Hey, as long as you're perfect 99% of the time, it's okay to eat an oreo every once in a while, right? The bags are so pretty!!

    1. It's really good and of course I had a little too much. Almond bark is a dream to work with, but there's something about the taste I don't love, probably all the oil and fake flavoring. Just go easy when eating it (unlike me) and you'll be o.k. But truly it makes the cutest gift. And I agree their printables are way too cute.

  9. It's really cute!!! I love the little tag with it too. I'm thinking that your kids loved this too. My mom makes pretty incredible peppermint popcorn balls around Christmas. There a little taste of heaven! I hope you're having a good Friday!

  15. Yes, most very cute. I am a sucker for cute tags also. No self-control whatsoever. If my Husband saw this, he might ask you to marry him. Popcorn of this genre is his fave.

  16. I am in love with these cute tags! I wish I had such a creative streak but alas, Maya and I made her Valentine's from one of those boxed kits at Target. That was a project in and of itself!

  17. Those bags are beyond adorable before you even get to the admiring of the contents within. I think that's such a fun twist on a Valentine's Day treat! I'll basically do anything for an Oreo, so the idea of combining it with popcorn (another favorite) sounds absolutely fine to me.

  19. I love the tags...I will have to bookmark this so that I can use it for future Valentine's. This year I was thinking of using a lollipop and putting a tag "Happy Valentine's Day Sucker"

A double en'tendre...something new to teach the kids :)
