Summer Slumber

Ethan has been begging forever to sleep in his sister's room.  Since it's summer and apparently we are on no sleep schedule whatsoever I thought it'd be a good time to give in to this request.

I just up and put his mattress right on the floor between their two beds, Ethan is the happiest boy ever.  He doesn't like having his own room and feels left out on all the fun, exciting night time talk the girls do.

I love seeing them in bed all reading their books and then an hour later they're conked out because our days have literally been non-stop fun.

There's something so sweet about seeing all your babies lined up in a row in dreamland.

I hope no matter how big they get, how old they turn or how smart they think they are........ they know they are never truly complete without each other.

  1. I love this! My girls have been alternating sleeping in each other's rooms as well. It melts my heart when they ask if they can sleep over in their sister's room.

  2. We grew up in a two bedroom townhouse, so I always shared a room with my brother and sister - couldn't imagine it any other way!

  3. Very sweet! My three share a room right now, and love it. We have a room one of them could have, but they don't want it.

  7. Slumber parties are always fun. Whenever my sister comes to vist we let the kids sleep in the same room and it seems bedtime always takes about 3 hours longer than normal but at least they like it.

  9. It's so true. This past weekend I was with my two sisters , at my oldest sisters house. Both nights my younger sister and I slept in the same room (Brandon stayed at home) and we stayed up late talking like the good old days. It was really fun and just goes to show that the strong bond siblings have carry on as we get older. :) Yay for slumber parties!

  12. Too adorable! And heck, there may be rough patches in the teen years, but I feel like siblings always keep that close bond!

  13. This is such a sweetly hilarious picture! I only have one brother so, we had...each other. But I can absolutely see how Mr. E would like to be included in his sisters' fun! And I mean really, doing reading hour together? I'm just dying here. Way to be the cool mom. ;)

  16. Well for me I think that's just sweet. If he really wanted to spend his night at his sister's bedroom then that would be fine with me.

  17. That is a wonderful and sweet photo. Good for them to get this time in while they still like each other. The teenage years might prove to be less than fun.
