Emry was born on Thanksgiving Day (2000), this year her birthday fell on the day after Thanksgiving so it was fun to celebrate with Glenn's family in Clovis. From left - Mark, Glenn's younger brother with his 4 boys, Glenn with our 3 & Glenn's older brother Scott with his son.
All Emry wanted to do on her birthday was go to the local trampoline park. She went online to figure out directions and hours. She typed up waivers for everyone. She talked on and on about how excited she was. She made sure we got there plenty early. I sprung for the 2 hour time slot knowing my kids could easily go for 3.
Luckily her Aunt Thira was there and has had experience through her years of playing college volleyball to know what to do.
Emry is unstoppable and actually went back out there on one foot. Her foot was black and blue and I could tell it hurt but I could also tell she was itching to just JUMP.
So we went and got ice cream.
All in all a great day with the cousins. If anything it will make her 12th birthday all the more memorable.
What! Bummer tripping like that. Lame. Oh well, too true she'll always remember this birthday. I love trampolines!!!! Love,

Looks like a fun day! So sorry Emry got hurt. Hope she's feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThat is so not fair that it happened!!!! I'm glad she got some bounce time in anyhow, and ice cream does make things a little better.
ReplyDeleteAw, poor thing! But icecream does solve most problems! :D
ReplyDeletePoor girl, poor girl.
ReplyDeletegranted she was so on the ball about getting what she wanted, clever little thing. you're dead meat.
What a trooper!
ReplyDeleteSounds like she had a great day, even with the injury!
ReplyDeleteAww poor Emry! Actually why am I saying poor? She is such a champ getting back out there!
ReplyDeleteOh bless her heart. Could ya'll go back this weekend?
ReplyDeleteShe actually asked me to take her no our trampoline park today. Her injury isn't even a week old. I told her let's wait until at least Christmas break.
DeleteHaha, pretty much lines up with my childhood memory of trampolines: Someone ALWAYS got hurt. But it's so much fun, you don't care (when you're a kid).
ReplyDeleteYou seriously have the most fun family! Every post I see you guys are always together doing something fun. It's inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are hard at it...having as much fun as ever! Happy belated Thanksgiving. Ice cream cures all...especially chocolate flavor.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Emry! Your celebrations always sound like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Emry! I was born on Thanksgiving too! Hope she is back to 100%.

Happy Belated...and ice cream makes everything better, am I right? =)
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late! My computer is still in the shop and I am working from my phone and an old laptop that moves slower than a snail. Sounds like even with the injury that your very beautiful Emry had an amazing birthday! Her love shines out just like yours does in a photo!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry she got hurt...but high five for sticking it out and still jumping around. Happy 12th birthday to her (a little belated) :)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday, Emry!
