Just Because

We've been staying up late.  We didn't get home from the beach last night until after 11 p.m.  We brought tons of sand home with us and I spent half the day sweeping, vacuuming & mopping it up.  (company's coming)

All you'd have to do is pull up our lint catcher in our dryer to know how often we go to the beach.  What doesn't make it's way into our house finds it's way there via towels, clothes & blankets.

Glenn and 2 of his best friends, Jordan & Matt, that he grew up with.  They both decided to become doctors and since Glenn didn't want to be a copycat he went into business.  They all hail from Northern California but made their way South one at a time.

I am not sure who's idea it was to make a million red vines available to the kids but for the record I am appalled!

I did try and be responsible and make them stop playing on the lifeguard tower since it did say 'Keep Off '.

After they all got in a few more jumps. Dang,  it was keeping em busy too.

My kids love getting their grubby little hands on an ice cold soda.

Ethan's a little bit cold.

Just because I'd rather have a blurry picture of me loving Lila taken by a kid then no picture at all.

  2. Blurry pictures can be amazing!

I'd stay out late, too, if we lived near a beach like this!

  3. I'm trying to squash the jealousy right now, Marie. This looks like the very best way to spend the summer. You all look so happy and healthy! The proximity to the beach is the one and only thing I miss about living in Florida. It would likely take me 8 hours to reach a shore now.

    1. I actually dreaded going when the kids were babies because it was so much work and my oldest would run to the water while I was nursing Ethan and Lila would be eating sand and need a diaper change etc... but now it's the best fun.

Personally, sand = yuck! Not a beach baby, I!

    1. There's pretty much sandy grit on my floors all summer long. There's no escaping it!

  10. As soon as I saw that bucket of red vines, my stomach grumbled.

    Is that bad?

  13. I think that it's wonderful you all spend so much time at the beach. My childhood memories of summer are absolutely overrun by time spent by the water. It's a great way to pass the time!

p.s. That really is quite the bucket of red vines!

  17. On one hand I cringe at the lack of structure that summer offers...and on the other hand? I love the fact that the sun is out until super late and that bedtime is sort of optional.

    Still...I LOVE September. :)

Great photos...hope you are enjoying the fabulous weather Marie!
