Easter 2013

I love Easter!  I love that it's always on a Sunday so we are truly in the spirit of what this wonderful holiday is all about.

I love how excited the kids are about the traditional  Easter baskets.  How Emry loves her new beach towel but equally loves playing with the little kids erasers and squeenkies.

I love all the food.  I saw these blue cheese cornmeal crisps and knew they must be made for dinner, along with a broccoli salad, kale salad, salmon, sweet potatoes and rolls.

We ended the evening with a lesson and scripture study on the Resurrection.   Emry made a cute little craft last year with her church class where you open plastic eggs to reveal parts of our Saviors life leading up to the Resurrection.  It got a little rowdy at times but we got it done.

In attendance is Glenn & I with our three munchkins, Jeannette with her three, my brother Kyle with his daughter and my mom.

My dad is in the hospital with a broken hip!  He went swimming yesterday and slipped while getting out of the pool.  He had surgery today and is expected to be as good as new soon.

We are grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ.  For His Life, Atonement, & Resurrection that enables us all to be forgiven and live with Him once more.

  1. Happy (Belated) Easter! I love the picture of your three all dressed up! It sounds like you had a wonderful, traditional day with baskets, candy, mass, family, and celebration. What a wonderful reminder to know that we will be forgiven for our sins! (Also, here's to wishing your dad a speedy recovery.)

Thank you for sharing your Easter with us. I did think of all of you while we were at church on Sunday. It warmed my heart to think of my friends spending such a special day with their families as I spent it with mine.
