Second Hand Lions

I am so glad Emry is getting into photography and I've convinced her that candid shots are much cooler anyway.  Like this one............

Ahhh, how is it possible to love a boy so much?!  On our drive home from church yesterday the girls were ganging up on me saying Ethan was my favorite.  Since it's not in good taste to be honest about those things I tried to plead my case by telling them all the great things I do for them too.  But truth be told they had pretty solid points.  Guess I'll have to reign in the baby talk, the catering to him, stop myself from crying every time he says 'I love you Mom' which awesomely enough is always!, hanging on his every word and trying not to melt at just the sight of him.

The subject of this post is not Ethan, but it's easy to get sidetracked when I think of that sweet mug.  So moving on to our other deals.  Emry got 4 cute little summer shirts, clockwise from top L $1.40, $3, $2, $1.40.

Whaddaya know, here's that sweet boy again.  I'll put his scrumptious face up any chance I get. All of these shirts were $1.40 each.  I love that I found him 2 more button up shirts for church, it was getting to be slim pickings every Sunday.  And by that I mean he had one shirt that was getting too small and then we lost it so for a few Sundays we got very creative.

Oh it's fun to have to have your own blog and ramble on and on about how much you love your kid.  What? ........... everyone stopped reading?!?!

Fine, here's the grand total - $17.60

I am off to clean Ethan's room, organize his Lego's and make sure the kitchen is stocked with his favorite foods.   Aaaaarghhh, somebody stop me!!!!!

  3. He is a cutie for sure...and what good finds you happened upon.

I meant to mention this a few posts back but I love his haircut. Both of my boys went and got "summer cuts" which involved buzzing it all off.

They look so grown up when they do that...why is it?

  4. I would not recommend all the books. He is in honors reading and all these books have a lexile level of 1000. Looking for reading list google battle of the books. Some of the books had very mature subjects.

  5. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Ethan, Ethan, Ethan. Hahahhahaha! He is a cute boy Marie. My son Reece is nothing like him, it seems. We'll see how they gel when you're here. The shirt is very cute, the pose, cute, the Emry is suuuuuper cute and the boy is cute, but we knew that already. :)

I got a pair of the cutest sandals for one dollar, about a month ago, at Savers and they just broke! Bummed. I put it on Instagram. What will I do? There are these sandals I am in love with on Zappos and they are 90 dollars. I can't do it. I saw some at Target for about 25 bucks, but when my others were a dollar? Nothing will ever seem cheap enough or good enough now. I guess I'll have to wear my flip flops until I find another sandal for under five dollars.

You better enjoy talking to baby talk to Ethan because I have a feeling one day he is going to come downstairs and he's not going to respond to the baby talk anymore...just saying, while I'm chuckling at the same time. You kill me Marie. You're the best mom. Lucky kids. Love you forever,

I'm sending your package hopefully soon for May. I'm waiting for one more thing to come in the mail. This month it's a book theme. That's all I"m going to say..... :)

  10. Hahaha! I've been accused of favoritism myself. But I'm quick to list off all of the nice things I do for all of my girls, and that usually hushes them up :) Love all of your deals!

  11. Well hey Miss Thang! Look at you getting all sassy! :o) I just love your fun personality!

I guess I'll never have to answer the "Who do you like best?" question and I am SO THANKFUL for that because I'm pretty sure the honest answer would be Lexie. That's part of the reason we decided not to have any more kids. There is no way I could love the second one as much as I love her! ;o) Spoken like a true mother of one, right? ;o)

  12. I want to develop a clothing line just so you and Emry can model it, haha. You gals make everything you wear look so easy/breezy/happy. LOVE the jungle top--but I'm a sucker for all things animal-print. And neon. If that was neon AND animal print? I'd be heading your way to raid your closet ;)

P.S.--Sorry I've fallen so behind on reading your blog! Time to read back through and catch up, I've missed your fabulous happy family/happy life posts!
