The thing is, being a mom should conjure up the best images. Homemade chocolate chip cookies. Snuggling together while reading stories. Helping with homework & making everything in the world better. But when you hear mom clothes, you think of the worst clothes ever.
Day to day my wardrobe consists of J Lo's (does not everyone call velour sweatsuits this?), jeans and a T-shirt, and that's it. No makeup and certainly not a hairstyle. As all my kids are in school now I am really trying to make an effort and at least get dressed instead of wearing workout clothes all day. So I am doing better.
But back to the fashion thing. I wear what I like. Not what is in style, but what I feel good in. I am sure many think I could use a stylist, but if I like something I like it. It could be a vintage dress from the 50's or a mod maxi dress from the 70's.
So there is a feature in InStyle called Impress for less. These articles kill me! (but of course I LOVE InStyle and will absolutely continue reading it) "Create a unique outfit from pieces under $100 dollars". Uh huh. The thing is, after all is said and done, your looking at a look that will set you back about $600. For one outfit? I think I can do better than that!

I went to a party Saturday night and it was fun to have a reason to wear shoes other than Ugg boots. I really like my outfit but I will say that this coming fall I will invest in a better pair of leggings as this pair is quite cheap.
In the future I think I will document more of my outfits. Wouldn't want my kids to think I never had anything stylish. (In my opinion anyway)
May I be the first to comment and say that maybe there was a time when you had no fashion sense but today that is a much different story. By the way you remember I have first dibs on any of the ebay dresses right? Love you- S
