.......a beautiful Princess married my Brother. They were happy, in love and decided to seal the deal on a mountain top in Utah.
Kyle's daughter Iree loved the Princess so much and thought the day to be hers as well.
The Princess gained a mother and father-in-law who think the world of her.
Three new sisters and four new brothers. One who missed the plane that morning and wasn't there, but she's stuck with him too.
Add in some (only some!!) of the brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces & nephews. A few cousins & one Aunt & Uncle and incredibly enough the Princess was still smiling and was eager to join this family.
My cousin Annie loves my brother and couldn't wait to photograph the Princess and their day.
The Princess Bride's family has been in the restaurant business forever and served the best food. Kyle's sister (me) ate this plate x2. And some of that cake. Or most of it. Whatever.
The Priness, or Anna, O.K., her name is Anna, was impressed that Mo (Adam) got a new shirt for the occasion but was disappointed by the fact that her new sister in law forgot the belt that tied her whole outfit together (serious bummer).
She just danced................................
...........and inspired romance in others.
My cousin Jimmy & Grandma Mitchell. My brother Ty & sister in law Sheralyn.
Mo & his Anna
Cousin Annie, her brother Jimmy, Jimmy's fiancee' Elyse & My Aunt Dawn and Uncle Woody.
Someone just turned up the music YO!!! What?!
Don't be scared Princess Anna.
We're just trying to have fun.
I know there's a lot of us & we've been dancing hard for hours and we're crazy and you might be scared..........
But too bad and too late. You're stuck with us.
Something tells me you wouldn't have it any other way.
Cause Hey Y'all we have a new sister & we're living happily ever after!!!!! YO!
Love your sis in laws dress! Family weddings are so fun.

ReplyDeleteI love weddings! My favorite part: the cake. Always. That and the dancing. I think I should start a new career as a professional wedding crasher. Seriously.

ReplyDeleteI love yours too!
DeleteCongratulations to the couple!!
ReplyDeleteAnd this looks like you had fun. :)
Congratulations to your brother Marie! She's a very lovely princess. I think the most awesome part of it is being a part of your family. Your family sounds cool.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful wedding! I think you looked adorable without the belt.
ReplyDeleteA blog post all about me?!?! Why I feel honored Marie, as you know I am an avid reader of the blog (of your blog only). Thank you so much for coming. I didnt notice that you were missing a belt but I did notice the missing brother. Oh and I wouldnt have it any other way. :-)
ReplyDeleteI must say I've never read a wedding post so creatively spun.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you drove through my red, red, red town.
next time, STOP.
We did. At the Jack in the Box drive through, maybe that's not technically stopping. You would have gotten a kick out of my dad's hurt arm and my mom's broken ankle. They sure were fun to be in a car for 12 hours with.
DeleteMarie, I think what I so love about your blog (and every post, really) is that you choose joy. Which isn't to say that your life doesn't have hard parts or that you gloss over things. But rather, that you take a path of jubilance. Encouragement. Lifting up. Love. I think there is so much to be said for that sort of worldview and this post, in particular, really showed that off.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your brother and sweet Anna. It looks like you have most definitely added a wonderful sister to your ranks.
We have & thank you so much Kat, you made my day with your comment and got it right on. Always tough, but always joyful and worth it.
DeleteLooks so fun! I'm so glad everyone had a great time. :) Love the dancing pics.

Drove up Friday, partied Saturday, drove home Sunday. Glenn stayed with the kids, it was Jeannette, Kylee, myself and my parents in a sedan. Fun. Are you in Tahoe? I've called your home and cell to no avail.
DeleteAww so fun!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the pictures and the story with it!! You're lucky to be a part of such a close family. She looks wonderful, and her dress is adorable!
